Nami Creative started back in 2019. I was going through a messy divorce (I finally feel isn't heavy or triggering to talk about), lost my home and dogs and was couch hopping on my friends couches. For the first time, I had to ask myself some big questions: “Who am I, really? What do I want my life to be like?”
It sounds a bit funny, but I didn't even know my favorite music or ice cream flavour because I'd always been in a relationship. Here I was in my early thirties, worrying if I'd ever find true love again, or if I'd ever get the chance to have my own family and 'happy ending'.
At 31 and freshly divorced, I felt like a complete failure. My self-doubt was at an all-time high. Plus, my family was on the other side of the world, I moved to New Zealand on my own in my twenties. I felt super lonely and lost. If that wasn't the icing on the cake, I was stuck in a dead-end office job that paid minimal and drained my soul. I realized I had three options: change, accept, or leave.
I decided to change. I chose to put myself first and give my life a complete makeover. I started working on myself, setting boundaries for the first time - pretty crazy, right?
Since then, I've been on a journey of reconnecting with my faith, my self-discovery, focusing on aligning with my higher self and my true purpose every day. Who is my soul? And why am I here? What is my purpose? For the longest time, I couldn't see my own inner light and goddess essence. But through inner work, facing some harsh truths, and making changes in my life, I slowly rekindled the light that was always there, just waiting to shine.
Photography has brought immense joy into my life, allowing me to rediscover the light within myself and others. It has become a powerful tool to uplift and empower women—not just through the lens but also through the education and guidance I provide in my online programs. It’s about more than capturing moments; it’s about helping women recognize their strength, beauty, and potential, both in front of the camera and within their own lives.
But what it really about is : remembering who you always been and finding our gifts and sharing them with the world. Welcome! I am so grateful that life has brought you here.
"Ready to find your own creative north star, expand your skills, transform your business, and get re-inspired to do the work that lights you up?"
Now, my mission is simple yet powerful: Empower other women photographers, be their guide and hold their hand through their photography transformation, helping them tap into their inner power (which is sooo powerful) and love themselves on a much deeper level.
I've been a professional photographer for over 16 years, but it was in late 2019 that I found my real passion: capturing the beauty and unique essence of women. Since then, I've become the industry leader in transformative photoshoot experience and I had the privilege of photographing and creating a safe and empowering space for over 1000 amazing women on their unique journeys, travelling all over the world with my work - I really created my dream life with the help of my camera.
I am now on a mission to provide resources, tools, and a supportive community to photographers at every level of their journey.
Through Nami Creative Education, my mission is to foster a vibrant community of women where we can all grow and learn together. My commitment to your success as a photographer is tenfold. I'm here for you every step of the way.
When I'm not behind the camera you will find me playing with my toddler, connecting with the deeper meaning of life, discussing ideas with my friends, soulful wonders around the world, eating yummy food or sunbathing by the beach.

Oh, and if someone asked me who I want to be? I want to be my fearless 3-year-old daughter. She is forever my muse, my inspiration, and my source of innate strength—speaking and walking her truth so fearlessly. Dear Aiko, when I grow up I want to be YOU!
